The National Confederation of Private Business Institutions – CONFIEP – has created a voluntary code for large companies to pay small and micro businesses within 30 days. A number of trade associations including the Automotive Association of Peru have signed up.
Peru has been debating a law proposed by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Peru to set a maximum payment term of 30 days for micro, small and medium sized firms. In early 2019 the law was approved by the Economic, Banking, Finance and Finance Intelligence Commision and was due to be debated by the Plenary of Parliament.
