Federal Decree-Law 50/2022, Article 72 caps commercial interest at 9% p.a. where no rate is agreed. Article 84 applies this rate as default interest on late payment of commercial debts. No mandatory payment deadline — terms are contractual. Compound interest prohibited (Art. 88).
